چکیده

T type intercondylar fractures of the distal hummers in pediatric age group is an extremely rare injury. These are difficult to diagnosed as they can be mistaken for extension injuries. The few clinal trials on management fracture, it widely regarded that accepted method treatment open reduction and rigid internal fixation. It easier ensure stable articular reconstruction intra fragments by this method. Open fixation there associated with high complication rate, which include wound site problems, non-union due periosteal stripping, heterotrophic ossification iatrogenic nerve Large soft tissue dissection also lead vascular compromise significant scar a stiff elbow. We present case 10-year-old boy who sustained fracture radial palsy was treated closed Kirshner wire excellent results at 1 year follow up.

Ipsilateral Distal Humerus Intercondylar Fracture with Radial Nerve Palsy and Monteggia Fracture Dislocation in Adult

The incidence of Monteggia lesion is only 1 to 2% of all childhood forearm injuries and even less in adults [2]. Distal humerus intraarticular fractures constitute 0.5%-7% of all fractures and 30% of elbow fractures [3]. Monteggia lesion have been found to be associated with wrist lesions [1,4,5]. Wiley and Galey [1] & Arazi et al. [6] reported one case each of the ipsilateral supracondylar fra...

Intercondylar fracture of the distal humerus in a 7-year-old child

RATIONALE Intercondylar fracture of the distal humerus is an extremely rare injury in children, especially in those under 8 years of age. To our best knowledge, there have been 55 reported cases of this fracture type in children in the English literature, 12 of which involved children under 8 years of age. PATIENT CONCERNS We report a case of intercondylar fracture of the distal humerus in a7...

T-Condylar Fracture of Distal humerus in 5-year-Old Child

T-Condylar fracture of the distal humerus is rare in the skeletally immature children and is very rare in young children, under 9 years of age. This fracture has been classified as: type A ( minimally displaced or undisplaced), type B (displaced but not comminuted ) and type C (displaced and comminuted). Herein, we report a T-Condylar fracture of the distal humerus in a 5-yr-old boy. This f...

Treatment of a Pediatric T-type Intercondylar Humerus Fracture With Hybrid Percutaneous Pinning and External Fixation.

T-type intercondylar fractures of the distal humerus are rare injuries in skeletally immature patients. Few studies are available to guide the treatment of these injuries. Small case series and expert recommendations suggest superiority of the open approach for direct reduction of the articular surface. This approach poses risks of vascular compromise and elbow stiffness. However, success with ...

Skin Entrapment in an Un-displaced Proximal Humerus Fracture Treated with Closed Reduction; A Case Report

BACKGROUND Proximal humerus fractures are a common presentation to Orthopaedic services in the United Kingdom, and the incidence is increasing. Proximal humerus fractures are usually associated with low energy trauma in elderly patients. There is a sub-set of younger patients who suffer low energy fractures due to underlying osteopenia, commonly associated with alcohol excess. Skin puckering or...
